South Africa’s (SA) Gauteng Traffic Police Spokesperson, Sello Maremane, has confirmed that they have impounded 22 buses as well as four minibuses that failed to produce operating licenses in Attredgeville.
He says the police are conducting learner enforcement operations nationwide and will continue with the Safety Scholar Blitz program until transport operators comply with regulations.
This enforcement action follows a tragic accident in the Vaal, which claimed the lives of 14 children.
