The Information Regulator of South Africa (SA) has rejected allegations of leadership failure raised by the Public Servants Association (PSA), which has accused the institution of unpaid salaries, disrupted benefits and unsafe working conditions linked to a payroll system change.
The PSA claims a flawed transition to a new payroll system has left employees under financial strain and has threatened legal action if outstanding salaries and benefits are not resolved.
However, Information Regulator Chief Executive Officer Mosalanyane Mosala has dismissed the allegations, saying the organisation successfully migrated to the SAGE system in March to improve financial management and Human resource processes.
He said March salaries were paid in full, with no outstanding payments, and confirmed that April salaries are also being processed on schedule for staff paid on the 15th of the month.
