South African (SA) Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs, also known as Amakhosi, have confirmed the signing of Tanzania international Adolf Bitegeko from Azam FC as part of their squad rebuild for next season.

The 27-year-old defensive midfielder, who captained Azam and previously played in Iceland, becomes the first Tanzanian to join Amakhosi.

Chiefs hailed his arrival as adding to their long list of African internationals to wear the Gold and Black.

Bitegeko earned five caps for Tanzania in 2024 and joins recent recruits Thabo Moloisane and Renaldo Leaner at Naturena.
