The $8 million construction project aims to revitalize the original marine structure and stimulate economic growth while also creating much-needed job opportunities. The tourism and local business sectors around Latimer’s Landing are poised to benefit significantly from the revitalised marine yard. According to Port of East London Manager, Dr. Simphiwe Mthembu, the revitalisation project, will enhance the Port’s competitiveness with international standards.
