The social dynamics of the Limpopo River border villages are quite different from those in other areas in the country.
Many foreign nationals in these villages are integrated with local communities and share lineage ties through intermarriages.
Situated along the Limpopo River and a stone’s throw away from Zimbabwe, the Niani area is a melting pot of cultures and languages.
Rangani, Madimbo and Malale villages are populated mostly by Zimbabweans and SA citizens.
While some say they have already become naturalised SA citizens, others say they have been living and working legally in the country for many years.
