Six Nigerian nationals suspected of involvement in a multimillion-Rand online romance scam have been extradited from South Africa (SA) to the United States (US).
The suspects were flown from Cape Town, in SA’s Western Cape province, on a charter flight.
This is after undergoing medical clearance at Cape Town International Airport.
The operation involved SA’s Hawks police unit, Interpol, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the US Secret Service.
