Sudan’s Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Elmutasim Ibrahim Ali, is in South Africa (SA) on a strategic working visit.
Ali’s visit aimed at strengthening energy co-operation between the two nations.
In an interview with Channel Africa in Pretoria, Gauteng Province, Ali highlighted the deep historical ties between Sudan and SA.
The relationship is dating back to the liberation era.
He also emphasised the importance of collaboration in addressing current energy challenges.
Ali outlined Sudan’s ongoing efforts to rebuild critical energy infrastructure damaged by years of conflict.
