Egyptian side Pyramids FC have hit a brick wall in their chase for Burundian winger Jean-Claude Girumugisha, with Al Hilal flatly rejecting their opening $1.5 million bid.
The Sudanese champions are holding all the cards and refuse to budge on the valuation of their star attacker, letting it be known that they won’t even sit at the negotiating table for anything less than $5 million.
Club insiders say Al Hilal have zero desire to hand over their top talent to a direct African rival on the cheap. That said, they might be willing to compromise on the price tag if a major European club steps into the race.
