Swiss police report 40 deaths, 100 injuries in New Year’s Eve fire

Swiss police believe around 40 people have died and 100 have been  injured in a  fire during a New Year’s Eve party, in the resort town of Crans-Montana

That’s according to the Italian Foreign Ministry. It says in a statement that the blaze is not thought to have been caused by arson. Many of the bodies were burnt beyond recognition.
