Singida Black Stars bring in Congolese Coach Papy Kimoto

Tanzania’s Premier League club Singida Black Stars have reshuffled their technical bench ahead of the 2026/27 season, naming Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) native Papy Kimoto as their new head coach.

The Tanzanian side is banking on a mix of continental experience and local knowledge to push them forward. Kimoto reunites with fellow Congolese coach Ngoyi Dora, who joins as first assistant after the duo previously led DRC club AS Maniema Union through CAF continental competitions.

Former Young Africans fan-favourite Amissi Tambwe rounds out the coaching setup as second assistant, bringing deep familiarity with Tanzanian top-flight football.

Off the pitch, Fred Chalamila takes over as team Manager and Senior Team Coordinator. Former interim head coach Muhibu Kanu will remain with the Tanzanian outfit, transitioning into a new administrative role within the organisation.
