Tensions are building between Israel and Iran
Tensions are building between Israel and Iran amid reports that Israel believes Iran is rebuilding its ballistic missile capabilities.
On Sunday the Chief of Staff of the Israeli military Eyal Zamir warned that Israel will strike its enemies, “wherever required, on near and distant fronts alike”The comments are widely viewed as referring to Iran where tensions with Israel have been growing in recent weeks

On Saturday United States (US) media reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will present President Donald Trump with plans for a possible new military campaign against Iran when they meet in the US next week.

Israel is reportedly concerned that Iran is rebuilding and possibly expanding its arsenal of ballistic missiles following the 12-day war with Israel in June.

During that war Iran fired over 550 ballistic missiles at Israel, of which about 50 successfully landed and caused widespread destruction in various Israeli cities

Reports suggest that Iran’s production of ballistic missiles could increase to 3 000 per year

On Sunday, Iran’s Foreign Minister said that Iran had rebuilt its strategic facilities damaged in the Israeli attacks in June and said Iran was “fully prepared” for a new round of fighting if it comes.
