It is reported that around the world, thousands of children continue to be caught up in armed conflict, with some recruited and used by armed groups.
In South Sudan, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), alongside the UN Mission in South Sudan and the government, is working to secure their release and help them rebuild their lives.
The efforts also focus on providing psycho-social support, access to education, healthcare, family reunification where possible.
In addition, these efforts also help the children recover from their experiences and rebuild their lives in a safe and supportive environment.
