Thousands of supporters of the Malian military junta gathered at the Mamadou Konaté Stadium in Bamako over the weekend, to show support for the transitional authorities.
The actions follow a series of coordinated deadly attacks by armed groups.
The demonstrations follow major attacks by a coalition of rebels.
This has resulted in the death of Defense Minister General Sadio Camara.
Camara was killed during the April 25 attacks when a suicide car bomb targeted his residence in Kati.
