South Africa’s (SA) prime safari destination, Hoedspruit, is witnessing a notable surge in both domestic and international tourism.
Visitors say that after exploring Cape Town’s beaches and wine country, many are choosing to fly north for an unforgettable safari experience.
“This was our first visit to Hoedspruit after my niece’s wedding near Cape Town,” said one international tourist. “We did two safaris, and the flight here was so smooth, I barely had time to close my eyes. I even enjoyed a crispy crème donut on the way. We are here for the game reserve, and I’m super excited.”
Tourism experts say the influx is providing a significant boost to the local economy, creating jobs and supporting businesses in the region. Tourists have expressed enthusiasm at exploring the area’s game reserves, highlighting Hoedspruit as a must-visit destination beyond SA’s coastal attractions.
