The Tunisia Football Federation has appointed Moine Chaabani as the new national team head coach on a four-year contract, seeking stability following a disastrous World Cup campaign.
The 45-year-old Manager takes charge of a turbulent side, becoming Tunisia’s fourth national coach this year and their eighth since January 2024. Chaabani replaces a coaching setup that oversaw three heavy World Cup defeats, despite the team having qualified for the tournament without conceding a single goal.
Chaabani arrives with an impressive resume in club football. He enjoyed major success with Tunisian giants Espérance de Tunis, winning two Confederation of African Football Champions League titles and five domestic league crowns. He also held coaching stints in Egypt and Morocco, most recently guiding RS Berkane to the Moroccan league title.
RS Berkane agreed to release Chaabani early from his contract, issuing a statement praising his professionalism and acknowledging the significance of his appointment to lead his national team.
