The event featured around 200 girls aged 14-17 from Zimbabwe, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Lesotho. Annette Wangong’u is a representative of Gavi Communications and says the goal of the partnership is to leave no one behind.
“It gives children an equal chance to a healthy future. So we partnered with UEFA through CAF national championships to have health workshops with the kids at the tournament,” he said.
