The Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni yesterday hosted the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi for talks centred on East African security, Nile Basin cooperation and regional water resource management.
In a joint statement, the two leaders said discussions focused on developments within the Nile Basin Initiative and efforts to resolve differences over the Nile Basin Framework Agreement, also known as the Entebbe Agreement.
Museveni also commended the strong cooperation between the two nations, describing it as an example of successful integration among African countries.
He outlined Uganda’s development efforts under the country’s National Development Plan 2040, highlighting key sectors where Uganda aims to deepen relations.
