Uganda to supply food to Cuba under medicine exchange deal

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has confirmed that the country is ready to provide food supplies to Cuba as part of an agreement to exchange essential medicines.

In a discussion with correspondent Cassius Ochokombege in Kampala, Abedi Jean dela Croix asked about the potential impact of the initiative on Uganda’s economy. Cassius noted that the deal could bring multiple benefits, including boosting agricultural trade, opening up new markets for local products, and strengthening diplomatic relations with Cuba.

He added that the arrangement could create opportunities for Ugandan farmers and businesses to reach international markets while contributing to the country’s overall revenue.
