Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni this Wednesday witnessed the signing of ⁠an aircraft acquisition agreement between state-owned Uganda Airlines and United States planemaker Boeing for 10 new aircraft.

 

“The fleet expansion, which includes passenger and cargo aircraft, will strengthen trade, tourism, ‌and ⁠investment, and position Uganda as a key regional aviation hub,” Uganda’s State House ⁠wrote in a post on X.

 

Ugandan broadcaster UBC said the ⁠agreement was worth 3.7 trillion Ugandan shillings ($984.64 million).
