The United Nations (UN) has surrendered leading Presidential candidate in the just ended Zambian general elections, Brian Mundubile and his running mate, Makebi Zulu, to Zambian Police Officers.
This comes under the “Terms of the Agreement” of the talks between UN Secretary General’s representative in Zambia and President Hakainde Hichilema. The State, has pledged that two will be subjected to the rule of law.
The questioning follows a police summons issued to Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu in connection with investigations into alleged activities that police say have the potential to threaten national security.
The two, have been under the protection of the UN in Lusaka post Presidential elections on August 13.
