The British Council, the United Kingdom’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, has recently been recognised by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) as a member of the Global Education Coalition and the International Task Force on Teachers for Education 2030.
The initiative aim to support global education recovery, tackle teacher shortages, and promote inclusive, high-quality learning worldwide.
It is present in more than 100 countries, working with governments and partners in the education sector to enhance the quality of education in schools.
UNESCO says it aim is to actively support the coalition’s goal of developing teacher’s capacity.
