The incidents occurred near Markaba, Al Adeisse, Kfar Kela and Ramyah, the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said.
According to UNIFIL, the IDF has maintained five positions and two “buffer zones” inside Lebanese territory since the end of the 2006 conflict and the adoption of Security Council resolution 1701, which calls for the cessation of hostilities and respect for the Blue Line. The continued presence of Israeli forces north of the line remains a breach of the resolution.
The peacekeeping mission said that in the past 48 hours it has recorded dozens of rockets and missiles fired into Israel, claimed by Hizbullah, alongside several Israeli airstrikes and hundreds of incidents of firing across the Blue Line. UNIFIL also documented 84 air violations during the same period. Each of these incidents constitutes a violation of resolution 1701, the mission noted.
UNIFIL said it remains in constant communication with both Lebanese and Israeli counterparts, including through established liaison mechanisms, to urge de‑escalation amid what it described as extremely challenging operational conditions. Peacekeepers continue to carry out mandated patrols and monitoring duties and are providing regular updates to the UN Security Council.
Through its continued presence along the Blue Line, the mission said it aims to support stability, prevent further escalation and assist in the extension of Lebanese state authority in accordance with Security Council resolutions.
UNIFIL stressed that it remains committed to engaging with local communities and maintaining cooperation with Lebanese and Israeli authorities. The mission added that it continues to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of peacekeepers as cross‑border exchanges intensify.
