The United States (US) has extended official congratulations to Gabon as the Central African nation celebrates its 66th anniversary of independence.

In an official statement, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio highlighted growing economic and security ties between Washington and Libreville, reaffirming the US’commitment to supporting a stable, prosperous, and sovereign Gabon.

The message highlighted deepening bilateral co-operation in commercial trade and regional security, emphasising Washington’s role as a steadfast partner as Gabon continues its political and economic development.
