The United States (US) is looking to invest billions of Dollars in South Africa (SA), even as tensions between the two countries persist.
Speaking in Pretoria after presenting his credentials to President Cyril Ramaphosa, US Ambassador-designate Brent Bozell said Washington is ready to increase its investment footprint.
“There are billions upon billions of Dollars that we want to invest in this country,” he said, adding that both government and private sector funds are being considered.
However, Bozell made it clear that concerns remain, particularly around the protection of private property, which he described as a key issue for US investors.
