The United States (US) says it will not disclose the names of South Africans who will be affected by new visa restrictions.
US Ambassador to SA Leo Brent Bozell says the measures could target government officials and civil servants involved in shaping the country’s land expropriation laws.
He says as well as people accused by Washington of promoting violence against minorities.
In an interview with South African public broadcaster SABC News Bozell also discussed US and SA trade relations and the position of the Afrikaner minority.
