Violence against people living with albinism continues to be a major concern in Malawi after another person with albinism was reportedly murdered and had their hands and legs severed in a recent attack.

The incident has renewed fears over the safety of people with albinism, who have long been targeted because of harmful beliefs and myths surrounding their body parts.

Human rights groups and activists have repeatedly called for stronger protection measures and tougher action against perpetrators as authorities investigate the latest killing.
