All Blacks wing, Will Jordan, has become his country’s top try scorer in test rugby.

Playing at home, the 28-year-old scored a hat-trick as the All Blacks romped to a 47-17 victory over Italy in a Nations Championship test match in Christchurch.

Jordan has now scored 50 tries in 56 test matches – one more than another wing, Doug Howlett, who scored 49 in 62 appearances.

The All Blacks had a slender 14-10 lead at half-time against a spirited Italian team, but a red card to lock Niccolo Cannone for foul play after 51 minutes, took the wind out of Italy’s sails.

In the end, the home side scored seven tries to two, to give new coach Dave Rennie the perfect start to his tenure with two wins out of two.
