Zambia have ended Ghana’s hopes of qualifying for the CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after securing a 2–0 victory in the second leg of the qualifiers in Lusaka.
Playing in front of their home supporters, the hosts carried momentum into the match after a high-scoring 6–6 draw in the first leg in Cape Coast. Ghana arrived in Lusaka needing a strong result to keep their qualification dream alive and fought hard to unsettle the Zambians on the road.
However, Zambia remained composed and made their home advantage count, scoring twice to seal the match and complete an 8–6 aggregate victory over the two legs.
The result sees Zambia book their place at the next edition of the CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, while Ghana are left to wait for another opportunity, with their next chance to qualify coming in the 2028 tournament.
