Members of Parliament elected during Zambia’s general elections on August 13 have taken their oath of office in Lusaka ahead of the official opening of the new parliamentary session.

The swearing-in ceremony marks the formal transition of lawmakers into the National Assembly, following the recent electoral process.

Newly sworn-in representatives are expected to begin legislative duties immediately, with key national priorities including economic stabilization, regional trade agreements, and public infrastructure development topping the agenda for the upcoming parliamentary term.
