Zambians have braved the cold weather and come out in their numbers to vote in the 2026 general elections.
Most of those at the University of Zambia polling station are students who are first time voters and they have expressed optimism about the elections, “I’m a first time voter. I was curious at first. I was trying to think about the Members of Parliament, the councillors.”
“I was only sure about the president, but for the other positions I didn’t know that we had to vote for like more than two. So my experience was quite amazing and the agents are so polite and yeah, I feel great,” says another voter.
