Indian apparel manufacturer Pearl Global is exploring manufacturing opportunities across North Africa and countries such as Jordan as part of a strategic push to move production closer to European buyers and diversify beyond the United States (US) market.
The company, which supplies major international fashion brands including Zara, Tommy Hilfiger, and Gap, is evaluating expansion into the region to streamline supply chains and meet rising demand from European fashion retailers.
Moving operations closer to Europe allows garment suppliers to significantly cut shipping lead times, helping brands restock inventory faster while reducing exposure to transpacific freight disruptions and shifting tariff structures in the US.
Pearl Global currently operates dozens of manufacturing facilities across key Asian hubs, including India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Indonesia. The proposed expansion into North Africa would mark a major step in building a nearshoring footprint geared toward serving European and Mediterranean supply networks.
