The second edition of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Sustainable Energy Week is under way in the Zimbabwean resort town of Victoria Falls.
The summit takes place amid the growing calls to promote and expanding renewable energy use and increase energy efficiency.
The week-long summit brings together energy sector experts, development partners, academia and government agencies from the region and beyond.
This year’s theme is “Driving Regional Economic Growth through Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency”.
South Africa’s Minister of Energy and Electricity Kgosientsho Ramokgopa is among the key speakers at the summit.
