Plans for Zimbabwe to play their 2026 World Cup qualifier against South Africa’s (SA) Bafana Bafana in Botswana have been reversed.

The Zimbabwe Football authorities will now host the Group C leaders at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium on October 6.

The change comes after Zimbabwe initially preferred to stage the match in Botswana. However, with the Zebras scheduled to play their own qualifier against Uganda on the same day, they were forced to revert to the original SA venue.

SA currently leads Group C with 17 points, three ahead of second-placed Benin Republic.
