South Africans (SA) have taken to social media to congratulate Miss SA 2025.<\/p>\n
Twenty-four-year-old Qhawekazi Mazaleni is from East London in the Eastern Cape.<\/p>\n
She was crowned at a glittering 67th Miss South Africa pageant at the Sun Square Arena in Pretoria on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
Mazaleni will receive R1 million ($58 936) and a luxury, fully furnished apartment, among other prizes.<\/p>\n
The first runner up is Luyanda Zuma and second runner up is Karabo Mareka.<\/p>\n
Contestants for the 76th Miss SA pageant showed substance and depth.<\/p>\n
The newly crowned pageant queen Mazaleni will focus her reign on creating a meaningful impact on key aspects the country is grappling with including women empowerment, youth unemployment, access to education and civic engagement among other things.<\/p>\n
