{"id":11898,"date":"2025-12-12T07:43:57","date_gmt":"2025-12-12T05:43:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jhb-webdevelopers\/channelafrica\/lifestyle-ent\/lagos-first-street-art-festival-celebrates-the-citys-vibrancy\/"},"modified":"2026-02-27T14:23:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T12:23:06","slug":"lagos-first-street-art-festival-celebrates-the-citys-vibrancy","status":"publish","type":"lifestyle-ent","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/lifestyle-ent\/lagos-first-street-art-festival-celebrates-the-citys-vibrancy\/","title":{"rendered":"Lagos&#8217; first Street Art festival celebrates the city&#8217;s vibrancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Lagos&#8217; bustling streets have become a canvas for bold murals and vibrant graffiti as the city hosts its first Street Art Festival.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The &#8216;Legendary Lagos, City of Dreams&#8217; event features 12 artists, nine from Nigeria and three international, painting large-scale works on walls across the city.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Organisers say the goal is to make art accessible to everyone and inspire social change.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">&#8220;We believe art shouldn\u2019t be confined to galleries and museums,&#8221; said Osa\u00a0Seven, one of the organisers. &#8220;Public art allows people to interact with creativity in their everyday environment.
