They earned certification from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) in partnership with Olympic Solidarity and the Liberia Basketball Association (LBA).<\/p>\n
The programme, which took place in Monrovia, was led by veteran Kenyan FIBA-Africa instructor Roland Owino. LBA President Abraham Samukai said participants would receive their official FIBA licences once Owino submits his final report.<\/p>\n
Samukai added that, from the start of the next season, only coaches and referees holding FIBA certification would be permitted to operate in Liberia\u2019s premier basketball leagues, a move aimed at improving the quality and professionalism of the sport in the country.<\/p>\n
