In a post on his official X page, Tinibu noted that no African country has ever hosted the Games. He added that staging the 2030 edition in Nigeria would send a \u201cpowerful message\u201d that the continent is central to the Commonwealth\u2019s future.<\/p>\n
Nigeria has submitted its final bid to host the Games to the evaluation committee. The Nigerian delegation is led by Shehu Dikko, President of the National Sports Commission, and the Commission\u2019s Director-General, Bukola Olopade.<\/p>\n
The Commonwealth Games, a multi-sport event primarily involving countries with historical ties to the United Kingdom, is held every four years.<\/p>\n
