The initiative has coincided with notable achievements on the pitch. The Sierra Leone women\u2019s national team clinched the West African Football Association Regional Cup in June, while national champions RAM Kamara FC made their debut in the CAF Women\u2019s Champions League qualifiers.<\/p>\n
The country\u2019s Women\u2019s Premier League, which comprises 12 teams, is fully funded by the government. Teima believes the programme has significantly elevated Sierra Leone\u2019s profile in women\u2019s football across West Africa.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe support for women\u2019s football from grassroots to professional level has put Sierra Leone on the map and created opportunities for young female athletes to shine,\u201d Teima said.<\/p>\n
