Khumalo says the payments were made via Police Minister Senzo Mchunu\u2019s alleged associate, Brown Mogotsi.<\/p>\n
Khumalo made the revelations during his testimony at the ongoing Madlanga Commission of Inquiry into police corruption, in the capital of Pretoria on Monday. He told the Commission that there was proof of payments reflected in WhatsApp texts.<\/p>\n
\u201cMatlala or one of his employees makes payments to Mr Mogotsi\u00a0directly sometimes for expenses related to the\u00a0ANC\u00a0events, and in particular for the benefit of delegates of such events who are apparently linked to the Minister Mchunu, through the Chief of Staff, (Cedrick) Nkabinde in the office of the Minister,\u201d Khumalo said.<\/p>\n
