That’s the word from the United Nation’s (UN) Office for the\u00a0Co-ordination\u00a0of Humanitarian Affairs that further lamented the fact that no shelter materials have entered Gaza since the\u00a0March 2\u00a0– more than 5 months ago.<\/p>\n
They have also pointed out that starvation and malnutrition, especially among children in the enclave continued to deepen as\u00a0Non-Governmental Organisation partners warned that malnutrition among children has reached the highest levels on record.<\/p>\n
Nearly 12 000 children under five years of age in Gaza were identified to be suffering from acute malnutrition in July.<\/p>\n
The highest monthly figure recorded to date by the nutrition cluster, while the World Health Organisation has confirmed at least 99 deaths due to malnutrition including 64 adults and 35 children since the start of the year.<\/p>\n
