{"id":16066,"date":"2025-11-25T08:29:23","date_gmt":"2025-11-25T06:29:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jhb-webdevelopers\/channelafrica\/news\/sa-new-development-bank-join-forces-to-boost-economy\/"},"modified":"2026-02-27T16:31:23","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T14:31:23","slug":"sa-new-development-bank-join-forces-to-boost-economy","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/sa-new-development-bank-join-forces-to-boost-economy\/","title":{"rendered":"SA, New Development Bank join forces to boost economy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Africa (SA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the New Development Bank (NDB) to attract more investment and support the country\u2019s economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The bank has already put around one billion US Dollars into energy projects with Eskom and other development bodies, and it now plans to expand its involvement in SA\u2019s key sectors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ashwani Muthoo, Director-General of the NDB\u2019s Independent Evaluation Office, said the agreement would open the door to more funding for projects aimed at improving infrastructure, securing energy supply, and creating long-term economic opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis MoU is an important step in strengthening our partnership with SA.
