{"id":16088,"date":"2025-11-25T10:56:40","date_gmt":"2025-11-25T08:56:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jhb-webdevelopers\/channelafrica\/news\/akas-killer-appear-before-sa-court\/"},"modified":"2026-02-27T16:31:24","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T14:31:24","slug":"akas-killer-appear-before-sa-court","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/akas-killer-appear-before-sa-court\/","title":{"rendered":"AKA&#8217;s killer appear before SA court\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The two Ndimande brothers accused of killing South African (SA) musician Kienan &#8216;AKA&#8217; Forbes and Tebello Tibz Mostoane have made a brief appearance at the Durban Magistrate&#8217;s court in KwaZulu-Natal Province.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande were extradited back into the country from the Kingdom of eSwatini two weeks ago.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">They face more than twenty charges which include murder, conspiracy to commit murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition among others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The Ndimande brothers mad \u00a0their second appearance at the Durban Magistrate&#8217;s court.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">They were extradited back to SA, after they abandoned their extradition appeal in eSwatini.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The two were the latest to be arrested in connection with the murders of musician AKA and his friend celebrity chef Tebello &#8220;Tibz&#8221; Motsoane.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Five others are currently behind bars awaiting the start of their trial.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">&#8211;SABC&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zGNjauTls-A?si=T2InUrHx7oX52WzX\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":16089,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"news-type":[78,26],"class_list":["post-16088","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","news-type-featured","news-type-general_news","entry"],"acf":{"short_description":"","published_date":null,"news_description":"Ndimande brothers accused of killing South African musician ","form_embed":"","author":"","image_caption":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news\/16088","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/news"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news\/16088\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":20047,"href":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news\/16088\/revisions\/20047"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/16089"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=16088"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"news-type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news-type?post=16088"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
