He singled out players such as Asenathi Ntlabakanye and Zac Porthen for their hunger and impact, adding that the team fought \u201cuntil the end\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on the Boks\u2019 steady progression, Erasmus said the squad had produced \u201cone of the more clinical performances\u201d, noting that the players \u201cdon\u2019t just roll over\u201d and had put their \u201csoul into the game\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Captain Siya Kolisi credited the team\u2019s leadership structures for enabling him to focus on the squad\u2019s energy and unity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have so many guys around me who have captained the team,\u201d Kolisi said. \u201cWe draw energy from one another, and there\u2019s so much good happening in our country and sport. Our purpose is always for our people back home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With SA ending the season as the world\u2019s top-ranked team ahead of next week\u2019s Rugby World Cup draw, Erasmus acknowledged that finishing at No. 1 had held particular value this year.
