{"id":20978,"date":"2025-12-12T11:32:33","date_gmt":"2025-12-12T09:32:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jhb-webdevelopers\/channelafrica\/news\/sa-manufacturing-output-increase-by-1-0\/"},"modified":"2026-02-27T16:32:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T14:32:09","slug":"sa-manufacturing-output-increase-by-1-0","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/sa-manufacturing-output-increase-by-1-0\/","title":{"rendered":"SA manufacturing output increase by 1.0%"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><\/div>\n<div>South Africa (SA) continues to see an uptick in manufacturing output that increased by 1.0% month on month in October.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This is according to the latest manufacturing data released by Statistics SA\u00a0for the month.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The increase is attributed to food and beverages, with eight of the ten manufacturing divisions reporting positive growth rates over this period.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>SA&#8217;s manufacturing and mining sectors are starting the 4th quarter on a firmer footing following an increase in data released by Statistics SA for the month of October.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Director of industry statistics at Stats SA Nicolai Claasen explains the rise in production numbers.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;SA manufacturing production inched higher by 0.2% year on year in October, with eight of the ten divisions boasting a positive month. Food and beverages and electrical machinery were the most significant upward contributors.
