Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua delivered a dose of reality to Jake Paul on Friday with a savage sixth-round knockout in Miami that left the social-media-star-turned-prizefighter nursing a suspected broken jaw.<\/p>\n

Paul managed to evade the heavily favoured Briton through a lacklustre first four rounds before Joshua detonated, knocking his opponent down twice in an action-packed fifth round and finished him off with a devastating right hand in the sixth.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cIt took a little bit longer than expected, but the right hand finally found its destination,\u201d said Joshua, who was returning to the ring after a 15-month layoff.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cJake Paul has done really well tonight. I want to give him his props. He got up time and time again. It was difficult in there for him, but he kept trying to find a way.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cIt takes a real man to do that, but he came up against a real fighter tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
After the bout, which was carried live to Netflix\u2019s approximately 300 million subscribers, Joshua called out long-time rival Tyson Fury.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re a real bad man, don\u2019t do all that talking, \u2018AJ this, AJ that,\u2019 let\u2019s see you in the ring and talk with your fists,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Paul, who stepped up from cruiserweight for the bout and has brought a new audience to boxing through his fights and promotion company, Most Valuable Promotions, was no match for Joshua\u2019s size, strength and experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think my jaw is broken,\u201d Paul said before spitting out blood.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s definitely broken but man, that was good. A nice little ass whooping from one of the best to ever do it\u2026 I\u2019m going to come back and get a world championship belt at some point.\u201d<\/p>\n
