{"id":21600,"date":"2025-12-24T08:50:50","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T06:50:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jhb-webdevelopers\/channelafrica\/news\/20864\/"},"modified":"2026-02-27T16:32:37","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T14:32:37","slug":"20864","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/20864\/","title":{"rendered":"Rand climbs on precious metal market frenzy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The South African (SA) Rand edged up against the Dollar on Wednesday, extending the week&#8217;s gains as investors continued to pile into precious metals.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Rand was 0.1% stronger than Tuesday&#8217;s closing level at 16.6625 to the Dollar.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Johannesburg-listed stocks also rose, with the Top-40 Index up 0.8%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;The Rand appears to be ending 2025 on the front foot.
