{"id":23327,"date":"2026-02-05T05:42:22","date_gmt":"2026-02-05T03:42:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jhb-webdevelopers\/channelafrica\/news\/sa-signs-partnership-deal-with-afreximbank\/"},"modified":"2026-02-27T16:34:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T14:34:08","slug":"sa-signs-partnership-deal-with-afreximbank","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/sa-signs-partnership-deal-with-afreximbank\/","title":{"rendered":"SA signs partnership deal with Afreximbank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Africa (SA) has officially signed a partnership agreement with the African Export-Import Bank, commonly known as Afreximbank.<\/p>\n<p>The trade finance bank is a multilateral financial institution that was established in 1993 to help drive intra and extra African trade.<\/p>\n<p>The bank has announced a financial support package of $11 billion aimed at funding SA\u2019s trade and industrial strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing delegates at the signing ceremony in Johannesburg, SA President Cyril Ramaphosa said the partnership aims to make it possible for black businesses and entrepreneurs to access capital and to participate in strategic sectors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe SA\u2011Afreximbank Country Programme will be operationalised with a finance package that will initially support a range of strategic projects across the trade and industrial cluster. The programme will inject capital into priority industrial projects, export diversification, infrastructure development and transformation initiatives.
