{"id":28472,"date":"2026-03-12T07:51:40","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T05:51:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/?post_type=news&#038;p=28472"},"modified":"2026-03-12T07:51:40","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T05:51:40","slug":"no-formal-complaint-from-us-over-land-expropriation-bbbee-remarks-sa","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/no-formal-complaint-from-us-over-land-expropriation-bbbee-remarks-sa\/","title":{"rendered":"No formal complaint from US over land expropriation, BBBEE remarks: SA"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>South Africa\u2019s (SA) Department of International Relations and Co-operation says it has not received any formal complaint from the United States (US) or its Ambassador to SA, Brent Bozell, regarding Washington\u2019s concerns about land expropriation and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Bozell, speaking on another media platform, raised concerns about SA\u2019s land expropriation and BBBEE policies, claiming the US had not received a response from the South African government.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>However, International Relations Director-General Zane Dangor says no official communication has been received from the US.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Dangor says, \u201cOn the five demands, we did not receive any official letter outlining these demands. They emerged out of negotiations on the relationship between SA and the US.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>You will recall that unilateral tariffs were imposed, and there were negotiations between SA and the US.
