{"id":29458,"date":"2026-03-21T08:53:55","date_gmt":"2026-03-21T06:53:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/?post_type=news&#038;p=29458"},"modified":"2026-03-21T08:53:55","modified_gmt":"2026-03-21T06:53:55","slug":"calls-for-constitution-review-as-sa-marks-human-rights-day","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/calls-for-constitution-review-as-sa-marks-human-rights-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Calls for Constitution review as SA marks Human Rights Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As South Africa (SA) marks Human Rights Day today, some political analysts are calling for a review of the Constitution, saying certain gaps need to be addressed to better serve citizens.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is despite the Constitution being widely recognised, both locally and internationally, as one of the most progressive in the world.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s commemoration is held under the theme \u201cBill of Rights at 30: Making Human Dignity Real\u201d.
