{"id":30278,"date":"2026-03-30T07:41:38","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T05:41:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/?post_type=news&#038;p=30278"},"modified":"2026-03-30T07:41:38","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T05:41:38","slug":"bee-policies-will-not-be-scrapped-sa-president","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.channelafrica.co.za\/channelafrica\/news\/bee-policies-will-not-be-scrapped-sa-president\/","title":{"rendered":"BEE policies will not be scrapped: SA President"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South African and African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa says the country will not abandon the Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) policy to redress the injustices of the past.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He was speaking during the Limpopo ANC\u2019s 11th Provincial Elective Conference in Polokwane.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ramaphosa says BEE policies will not be scrapped.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He says, \u201cWe have sought to improve the lives of our people and our Constitution has laid a very firm foundation for transformation by mandating that the democratic state should redress the inequalities and imbalances of our past.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ramaphosa adds, \u201cWe have also put in place measures to restore human dignity of our people.
